Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 3, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Stoplight (“Stoplight”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use stoplight.ai.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: email address, name, and authentication metadata.
  • Workspace data: workspace name, membership roles, billing identifiers.
  • Telemetry: events sent by hooks (tool calls, file activity, and commands). Telemetry schemas can vary by agent runtime. We store raw payloads and may derive normalized fields for search and suggestions.
  • Usage data: basic analytics to understand product performance.

3. How we use information

  • to provide and operate the service (profiles, rules, suggestions, auditability);
  • to improve the quality of suggestions and product UX;
  • to manage billing and subscriptions;
  • to detect abuse, prevent fraud, and maintain security.

4. Sharing

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the product (for example: hosting, analytics, and payments). We do not sell personal information.

5. Data minimization

Hooks should avoid sending secrets or sensitive personal data. If your environment sends such data, you are responsible for configuring telemetry appropriately.

6. Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
